Ways to Serve
Join the Coffee Bar Team!
Do you love serving others in simple but meaningful ways? Our Coffee Bar Ministry helps create a warm and welcoming environment every Sunday by providing coffee and refreshments for our church family and guests. The Coffee Bar is a simple but strategic front door to deeper church connection. When done with warmth and excellence, this ministry helps people feel seen, served, and welcomed into the life of Emmanuel Church. “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.” (1 Peter 4:9) If you enjoy hospitality and want to help others feel at home, we’d love for you to join the Coffee Bar Team!
Ministry Purpose and Vision: The Coffee Bar Ministry is an extension of Emmanuel’s Welcome and First Impressions Ministry. We do more than serve coffee—we help create a warm, inviting environment where people feel at ease, engage in conversation, and begin to connect to the life of the church. Hospitality through coffee and refreshments is a simple but powerful way to reflect the welcome of Christ.
Connection to Our Mission: Reach, Teach, Send
Reach – A friendly atmosphere encourages guests to linger, talk, and be welcomed personally.
Teach – Conversations over coffee can lead to spiritual encouragement, discipleship connections, and next steps into the life of the church.
Send – Volunteers are mobilized to serve joyfully and learn how simple acts of hospitality can support gospel ministry.

Join the First Impressions Team!
At Emmanuel Church, we want every guest to experience the welcome of Christ from the moment they arrive. Our First Impressions Team serves as the first point of connection, greeting people warmly, offering practical help, and helping guests take their next step toward belonging. Whether it’s a smile at the door, a helpful hand at kids’ check-in, or a follow-up note during the week, this ministry plays a vital role in REACH, TEACH, and SEND. If you love people, have a heart for hospitality, and want to help others feel at home in our church family, we’d love for you to join the team!
Vision
To reflect the welcome of Christ by creating a warm, gracious, and helpful environment where every person who walks through our doors feels seen, valued, and invited into life in the body of Christ.
Mission
Our mission is to serve as the first point of connection at Emmanuel Church, offering genuine hospitality, practical assistance, and intentional follow-up that helps guests take their next step toward belonging—whether that’s returning next Sunday, connecting with a ministry, or coming to know Jesus.
REACH – Hospitality is often the first act of outreach: it makes strangers feel at home and begins building trust with newcomers who may not yet know Christ.
TEACH – By offering practical assistance and clear next steps, the team helps guide people toward engagement with the church’s teaching, discipleship, and community. As the team models Christlike hospitality, the church family learns how to embody the grace and welcome of the gospel in everyday interactions.
SEND – A strong first impression helps connect people to the church body, where they can grow in faith and eventually be equipped and sent to serve others with the same heart of hospitality--welcoming others just as they were welcomed.

Purpose
The Music Ministry exists to lead Emmanuel Church in joyful, Christ-centered congregational singing. By lifting our voices together, we proclaim the gospel, build up the body of Christ, and send one another out strengthened in faith.
Connection to Reach | Teach | Send
REACH – Our music proclaims the gospel in song, welcoming guests and testifying to God’s glory in a way that draws people toward Christ.
TEACH – Through biblically rich lyrics and Christ-centered songs, the congregation is taught sound doctrine and reminded of God’s truth.
SEND – Singing together strengthens our faith and equips us to go out into the world encouraged, unified, and bold in gospel mission.

We value biblically rich and theologically sound congregational songs, including historic hymns and recent works from writers like Matt Merker, Matt Boswell, Sovereign Grace Music, CityAlight, and Getty Music.
