At Emmanuel we strive to make your experience at church to be both inviting and meaningful. Our children’s ministry team at Emmanuel is committed to partnering with families to establish and nurture young disciples so that their knowledge and love of Christ grows into a mature faith. We have ministries for all age groups.
We seek to provide a safe, caring atmosphere for the youngest members of our church family. We hope that our loving care for your child will allow you to participate in the multitude of opportunities available here at Emmanuel. We believe that our children are God’s greatest gift. Emmanuel’s Nursery Ministries provide special care to infants and toddlers intended to contribute to their wellbeing and complement the Christian nurture children experience at home. We strive to help your child build trusting relationships and feel a sense of belonging by reaching out in love and understanding.
Everything we teach our preschoolers is based on one of three simple, but powerful truths; God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Through age appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate to Kindergarten they know these three basic truths.
Elementary School Ministry
Our Elementary Ministry seeks to help children grow in their knowledge and love for Jesus. On Sunday mornings we use the “Think Orange Curriculum” that includes both large group and small group times. The large group is high energy with the purpose of engaging children to learn about Jesus Christ. The small group is led by a committed small group leader who builds a relationship with the children through games, prayer and conversation.
Mommy and Me Ministry
Mommy and Me meets the first Monday of each month during the school year and is a cooperative effort between our Children’s Ministry and Women’s Ministry. It provides an opportunity for mothers of toddlers and infants to enjoy a special time with their children followed by a fellowship time with other moms while our nursery workers care for the children.
Parents’ Night Out
Several time during the year our children’s ministry sponsors an opportunity for parents to leave their children in a safe and fun environment and have some time to themselves. Each PNO lasts for 3 hours and is free to all. See the church calendar for specific dates.
At Emmanuel we make every effort to protect our children. Everyone that works with our children undergoes a screening process and a background check. Access to the Children’s Ministry area is limited. We use a computer-based check-in process to insure that children are only released to their parents.
