Christianity is a teaching faith. We become followers of Christ and then we are taught how to follow Him in community. The Elders and Staff of Emmanuel are committed to doing what Scripture calls us to do: "equip the saints to do the work of ministry." To that end, we are excited to announce we have two training opportunities available in the coming weeks.
On Saturday August 6th, from 9:00 AM until noon, the staff will be hosting Ministry Training Orientation for all Sunday morning volunteers. The purpose of this training is to equip and train all those who desire to volunteer in any of our Sunday morning ministries (Sunday School, Children's Ministry Children's Training Time, Student Ministry, Safety Team, Gatherings Team, Deacon Ministry, etc).
Registration and light breakfast will be provided beginning at 8:30, and then our first session will begin promptly at 9:00.

The second opportunity we have is the EQUIP Conference at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth on Saturday August 13th from 8:45 am until 3:00 PM.
There is a full day of training for many ministry areas. There are 2 morning sessions, then lunch panels (meal included), then 2 afternoon sessons. You can even mix and match your training across different areas.
Emmanuel Church will take anyone who desires to go and receive training.
For more information see the signs in the lobby, or go to Equip Conference website.
