Ministry Orientation Training Saturday August 6th from 9:00 AM to Noon.
We are providing training and encouragement for all of our volunteers this Saturday. Registration and light breakfast will begin at 8:30.
Training will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.
If you are committed to volunteer, or if you are considering volunteering, please make plans to attend.
This week we celebrate COVENANT SUNDAY, which occurs on the first Sunday of every even numbered month (February, April, June, August, October, December). We hold the Lord's Supper in the morning service, and reconvene later for our Members' Meeting.
This Sunday's schedule look like this:
Elder-Led Prayer at 9:15 AM
Before eQUIP kicks off on Aug. 21, for the next two Sundays we will hold special times of instruction and prayer as we prepare for all the Fall ministries to kick off August 21.
This week we will watch a brief video of a special testimonial given by Janine Echols and produced by Josh Jiminez. You will hear a wonderful story of God's glory in a dark time of loss.
Then we will spend a few minutes talking about how we can use our own stories to glorify God and pray together to God for opportunities and boldness to share.
Weekly Gathering at 10:15 AM
I hope you have been blessed by our Summer Sermon series, Wisdom from Above, through the Wisdom Literature of the Bible.
This Sunday morning, we will conclude the series with a message titled The End of All Wisdom. In this final message we will see an overview of the book Ecclesiastes, and learn what the Teacher learns in all his pursuits. Our songs and Scripture readings will focus on the supremacy of Christ and our love for our Savior. Please make plans to attend.
Lord's Supper
After the sermon, Dr. Mike Bizzell will read from Philippians 2:5-11 and then prepare us for this month's observation of the Lord's Supper.
